Hazlemere Commercial is the largest division of Hazlemere Window Company and it’s EXOR accreditation helps the company to continuously work closely with local authorities on school refurbishment projects for example. Exor also help suppliers win business. Exor provides a range of compliance services to ensure that suppliers of goods, works or services, across all sectors; Public, Private or Domestic, are able to demonstrate that their business and its operations meet the relevant standards expected in their market.

Over the years, local authority health and safety and procurement professionals, with the support of the Health and Safety Executive, have developed CHAS (the Contractor Health and Safety assessment scheme). The scheme is available for use by any public and private sector organisations to use when short listing contractors, suppliers and consultants (companies) who apply to work for them. It provides information about the health and safety part of their application. Hazlemere Commercial also have Constructionline accreditation. Constructionline is an online register for pre-qualified contractors and consultants used by the construction industry of the United Kingdom. The database contains details for over 23,000 companies and is accessed by over 2,000 organisations.

The Considerate Constructors Scheme is the national initiative, set up by the construction industry, to improve its image. Sites that register with the Scheme sign up and are monitored against a Code of Considerate Practice, designed to encourage best practice beyond statutory requirements. The Scheme is concerned about any area of construction activity that may have a direct or indirect impact on the image of the industry as a whole. The main areas of concern fall into three main categories: the environment, the workforce and the general public.

Hazlemere Commercial complies with CDM Regulations 2015, which came into force on 6th April 2015. Hazlemere Commercial use an independent Health and Safety company called Safety Services Ltd to help produce our construction phase Health & Safety plans (where required under 2015 CDM regs). Hazlemere Commercial also use Safety Services Ltd to undertake all it’s Health & Safety training, and provide the latest up-to-date Health and Safety advice.  Hazlemere Commercial’s Directors have each sat and passed a Health & Safety exam (mandatory to refresh every 5 years) “Construction Skills Site Safety Plus Certificate: Directors Role For Health & Safety”. A minimum pass rate of 72% is required, so every Director who takes the exam has to think seriously about H&S in order to be able to qualify.

Hazlemere Commercial always carry out and produce for each commercial project a RAMS (Risk and Method Statement) which includes a Health & Safety assessment. All its workforce are CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) accredited. This includes all Hazlemere Commercial’s surveyors, installers, project managers, site foreman and site supervisors etc. Each of Hazlemere’s Commercial site supervisors are also SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) accredited by the CITB (Construction Industry Training Board).

The bottom line is that Hazlemere Commercial has over twenty-five years’ experience in manufacturing and installing in all sorts of commercial premises, and especially educational premises, where Health & Safety is paramount, so are used to carefully scheduling and co-operating with each client, staff and head teachers. Furthermore all Hazlemere Commercial staff and all sub-contractors are DBS checked (formally CRB) as a matter of course before attending any educational premises during term time.

Hazlemere Window Company Ltd were awarded their BSI Kitemark Licence in 2010 in respect of Window Energy Ratings. Their Kitemark Licence Number is KM 566333 and each Hazlemere Commercial client receives a BSI Certificate for their particular combination of products stating its Window Energy Rating. Hazlemere have been FENSA Registered Installers since FENSA came into being in 2002 (No.10589).

As proof Hazlemere Commercial is dedicated to the quality of products and services it provides it is accredited to ISO 9001:2008 for the supply and installation of commercial windows and doors. Hazlemere Commercial has also been ISO 14001 compliant since 2011 for waste management disposal, as is determined to do its bit for the environment, recycling whatever it possibly can.

Hazlemere Windows Company Ltd have been members of the Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) since April 2015, and one of their Directors, Mark Austin is the Chairman of the GGF Windows and Doors Group.
